Web-Based Basic LR Course:
By consensus of the National Executive Board completion of the Web-Based Basic Labor Relations course is preferred prior to attending the Basic Facility
Representative Course. To register for the Web-Based Basic LR Course log into www.natca.org, double click on the NATCA Academy, open, complete
and submit the registration form for Web- Based Basic LR course. Once the form is submitted the enrollee will be contacted by a member of the
Web-Based Training Committee.
2010 NATCA Web-based Training
Basic Labor-Management Relations Course
The basic labor relations course is a five-week program conducted entirely online and mentored/proctored by an experienced NATCA activist. Weekly participation in an online forum via a computer with high-speed internet access is required. The course will provide you with prerequisite material to all training courses offerered by the academy and, potentially, credit towards a degree at the NLC.

Basic Facility Representative Training – beginning at 9am on Monday and ending at noon on Friday with
Local Officer Training (LOT) beginning on Wed at 1pm and ending at 5pm. (Basic Facility Representative course will
be 4 full days and will cover two days of Contract Interpretation, 2 days of Labor Relations as well as Reloaded, Legislative
and Safety/Tech briefings.

Two years ago SRF – 12 from our National Constitution was extended to all locals for Basic Facility Representative Training. The 2010
training program will return to the standing rule below and will not extend reimbursement to locals with more than $4000 in annual dues rebates.

“For any local receiving $4,000 or less in annual dues rebates, transportation and lodging expenses required to attend NATCA training
courses or regional meetings will be paid by the region or department hosting the event, in accordance with NATCA’s expense
reimbursement policy. All such expenses require pre-approval by the individual responsible for the budget before costs are incurred.”
